How to choose an electronic tuning type-brand
If you're here, you're probably looking for ways to improve your bike.
With several different manufacturers offering different solutions, making a decision can be a difficult task.
How do you compare the options?
What features do you need?
Do you blindly trust what everyone else is using? Most aftermarket ECUs (Electronic Control Units) currently available only provide fuel control, because after all, more fuel = more power, right? Not quite! Although fuel optimization does increase performance, these changes are only really felt in the open-loop range (throttle open more than 65%). This could be overridden by bypassing the lambda sensor, which monitors the oxygen level in the exhaust and helps the factory ECU adjust the fuel mixture. Bypassing this sensor allows finer tuning, resulting in higher performance over a wider range.
